You Are The Difference
Dear Friend of the Thomas More Law Center,
As the year draws to a close, my heart is filled with gratitude for your unwavering support of the Thomas More Law Center (TMLC). Your steadfast faith in our mission has empowered us to fight for freedom, justice, and truth in an increasingly divided Nation.
In 2024, we celebrated incredible victories — victories made possible because of you. Your prayers and financial support are not just lifelines; they are catalysts for change, lighting the way in battles where others might see only darkness.
Allow me to share one of the most profound examples of how your generosity shaped a life and protected Free Speech — the indispensable support of our Constitutional Republic.
TMLC Defends Freedom: A Victory for Free Speech and a Defeat for Tyranny
From a quiet Texas neighborhood, a brave woman named Dolores Park — a mother, grandmother, and devoted pro-life Christian — found herself at the heart of a political storm. During the 2020 presidential election, Dolores Park joined a caravan supporting President Trump because of his pro-life position and was proudly waving her flag as an expression of her deeply held beliefs.
Her act of free speech on a public freeway got national attention, even earning a supportive tweet from President Trump himself. Yet, eight months later, Dolores was blindsided when she was served with a federal lawsuit accusing her of Conspiracy to violate the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871 — a claim as outrageous as it was unfounded.
This lawsuit wasn’t about justice; it was about silencing voices. Represented by a battalion of attorneys from a mega law firm and civil rights organizations, the plaintiffs spared no expense seeking to crush Dolores under the weight of their massive resources. Their goal? To intimidate and suppress freedom of speech, all in the lead up to the 2024 presidential election.
But Dolores wasn’t alone. When she stood at the edge of despair, the Thomas More Law Center stepped in. Armed with your support, our legal team waged a battle of David v. Goliath proportions.
For years, TMLC attorneys and staff worked tirelessly, facing off against 25 opposing lawyers, navigating over 31,000 documents, and preparing hundreds of exhibits. Every dollar you donated helped us stand firm in the courtroom, ensuring that the scales of justice did not tip toward tyranny.
And on September 23, 2024, after a grueling 2-week trial, the jury delivered a unanimous verdict: Dolores was cleared of all charges. It was a resounding victory — not just for Dolores, but for free speech and for every American who refuses to be silenced.
The Fight is Far from Over
As Dolores’ story reminds us, the battle for our Freedoms is relentless. With the reelection of President Trump, attacks on our constitutional values have intensified. Organizations like the ACLU have mobilized armies of activists, while state governments and public institutions and schools promote transgenderism, erode parental rights, threaten religious liberties, and undermine the traditional values we hold dear.
At TMLC, we are more determined than ever to stand in the gap. In 2025, we will fight to protect parental rights, defend our children from the harmful agendas of the left-wing ideologues and school boards, and uphold the Judeo-Christian principles that form the bedrock of our Nation.
You Are The Difference
None of this is possible without you. Your support is not just a gift; it is a lifeline for those who have no one else to turn to. It is a beacon of hope for people like Dolores, and a shield for the freedoms we cherish.
As we prepare for the challenges ahead, I humbly ask you to continue standing with us. Your year-end donation fuels this fight, ensuring that TMLC will remain a powerful force defending our constitutional rights in the year 2025 and beyond.
