Lucy McBath’s end-of-year fundraising deadline is just a few days away. Click here to donate to support her work in the years ahead!
John,
As the New Year approaches, I find myself reflecting on everything that transpired in 2024.
I’m proud of what my team and I accomplished. I won reelection to Congress, successfully fighting off a Republican-led effort to gerrymander me out of my seat. We passed critical legislation for our communities with the Stop Campus Hazing Act and the Federal Prison Oversight Act. And I spoke on stage at the DNC with families impacted by gun violence – calling urgent attention to an issue near and dear to my heart.
But the year has also brought with it some difficult realities. The election of Donald Trump to the White House and the new GOP majorities in Congress pose a severe threat to the progress we’ve made on critical areas like gun violence prevention, voting access, and economic stability.
John, we cannot afford to stand idly by while the new Trump administration rolls back our hard-fought victories. It’s more important than ever to organize and engage with our communities and protect what we stand for.
I’m proud to be known as a Congresswoman who gets stuff done. And I’m ready to work across the aisle in 2025 to pass legislation that’ll help the poeple of Georgia. But it’s a long road ahead, John, and I need to know my supporters have my back.
My end-of-year fundraising deadline is coming up on 12/31. Can you help ensure I can do this work in 2025 and beyond by chipping in a donation of any amount? Continuing to support strong Democratic representatives is crucial with the incoming Trump presidency.
