John,
President-elect Donald Trump has been trolling Canada
recently, suggesting that we become the 51st state.
I don’t believe for a
minute that he is serious.
It’s just part of
his strategy to destabilize the Canadian government – if the complete
and utter mess that is the Trudeau government can be destabilized even
more! – and force it to accede to his demands regarding the protection
of our common border.
Plus wielding a big stick in the coming
renegotiations of the North American trade agreement.
He first
threatened to impose a 25% tariff on our exports, and that immediately
focused the minds in Ottawa.
Now he’s having fun
referring to our prime minister as “the governor of the great state of
Canada!” 
Trump is the author of The Art of the
Deal, and he has a habit of making outrageous declarations as a
bargaining position to force his counterparts to make concessions.
Although there is zero chance of it happening, I see a
lot of people on social media expressing interest in his offer to
annex Canada.
“Imagine how things would be better if
we could get Trump’s policies!”
Well, there IS a way to import
the best of Trump’s policies, which are the same policies put forward
by Nigel Farage in the UK and by many other right-wing populist
parties in Western countries.
It’s simple: Make sure the People’s Party
becomes more influential!
Trump wants to
close the border and deport the illegals – the PPC too!
Trump
wants to end the war in Ukraine quickly – the PPC too!
Trump
wants to exit the UN’s Paris Climate Accord and stop wasting money on
climate change – the PPC too!
Trump wants to withdraw
from the WHO and not allow these UN bureaucrats to impose more
tyrannical pandemic measures – the PPC too!
Trump
wants to abolish the racist, antiwhite, sexist, DEI programs – the PPC
too!
Trump wants to ban all so-called “gender-affirming care”
that mutilates kids – the PPC too!
Trump wants to cut the size
of government and lower taxes – the PPC too!
We don’t need
to commit hara-kiri as a country in order to improve our lives.
There are many reasons to despair of what Canada has
become in recent years.
But Canada is worth saving, and it’s
PPC’s ideas that will save it.
