I was just 13 years old when I lost my arm in a shark attack. A lot of people thought I'd be too scared to ever surf again.

But just 4 weeks later I was back in the water.

It was partly due to my parents’ unconditional support and my love of the ocean. But the biggest reason I kept surfing was my belief that God had my back.

And I want more children to hear that message because too many of them are being trained up in fear, not faith.

That's why I wrote a children's book called "Surfing Past Fear" with an amazing Christian publisher called Brave Books.
