John,
Working families are being squeezed by rising costs and stagnant wages while the billionaires and big corporations at the top of the economic ladder have never had it so good.
In 2024, CEOs of America’s largest corporations made 268 times more than their median workers. These corporations spent $4.4 trillion on stock buybacks and dividends to line the pockets of their wealthiest shareholders—seven times what they paid in federal income taxes.
The Republican response? Pushing plans like Project 2025, which would hand a $325,000 tax cut to millionaires.
We’re fighting back!
This year, we stood with workers at Starbucks to hold their CEO accountable for union-busting. We supported the Dartmouth basketball players who made history by becoming the first collegiate athletes to unionize. We backed nursing home workers demanding safe staffing standards in an industry dominated by private equity profiteers. And we pushed the Tax Excessive CEO Pay Act, which would force corporations to pay more when they hand obscene paychecks to their CEOs while underpaying working people.
Americans for Tax Fairness is a critical ally in our shared struggle for an economy and tax code that works for working people—holding billionaires and corporations accountable by mobilizing our grassroots movement and demanding the wealthy pay their fair share.
Will you make an end of year donation of $27, $50, or more to Americans for Tax Fairness today to power our movement for working families and hold the rich and corporations accountable?
The fight doesn’t stop there. We’ve also been battling corporate polluters who take billions in taxpayer subsidies while destroying our planet. The End Polluter Welfare Act would stop $170 billion in government handouts to fossil fuel companies, money that could instead be invested in clean energy and a livable future.
This is what it means to take on the billionaire class: we don’t just expose their greed—we organize to stop it.
Plans like Project 2025 would slash taxes for billionaires and corporations while forcing working families to pay more. Americans for Tax Fairness is fighting every day to block this agenda and ensure billionaires and corporations pay their fair share.
When we stand together, we can take on corporate greed and win.
Support Americans for Tax Fairness with an end of year donation today and power our movement fighting for an economy that puts working people first.
