Trump isn't just bungling our nation's pandemic response -- he's using it to quietly help big polluters do even more damage to our environment and the public health.

Right now, too many Americans are hurting. They're worried about whether they or their loved ones will get sick, and how they will provide for their families amid historic unemployment and an economy on the brink of a recession.

Trump is hoping that defending our planet will seem like a side issue amidst the national crisis we face -- but the health of our environment is inextricably tied to the health of our communities.

A recent study by Harvard demonstrated that even a tiny increase in fine particulate matter air pollution -- also known as "soot" -- increases death rates from coronavirus.

This administration's actions will put low-income communities and people of color at even greater risk as they are disproportionately exposed to high levels of air pollution and have been hit the hardest by the coronavirus.
