As we head into the new year, it’s important that we enter 2025 with a clear understanding of what we’re up against.
We face unprecedented challenges with Donald Trump back in the White House and Republicans in control of both chambers of Congress.
All the progress we’ve fought for over the last 4 years is at risk of being rolled back. The most extreme Republicans are more emboldened than ever to pursue their radical Project 2025 agenda of banning reproductive rights, slashing federal funding for education and food assistance, and even privatizing some of our most critical government services like the U.S. Postal Service.
We know this all sounds disheartening, but there is a silver lining. During Trump’s first-term, we rallied together to prevent him from pushing through many of his most extreme proposals, such as repealing the Affordable Care Act. The odds stacked against us may be higher this time, but if we continue to fight back and make our voices heard, we have the power to defend the values that actually make America great.
