Friend,

Civilians should never be targets of war.

Over the last year, Mercy Corps has stood with our humanitarian partners around the world, calling on international leaders to ensure unfettered aid to civilians caught in the crossfire of conflict in the Middle East, Ukraine, Sudan, and Haiti.

Our teams and partners have also been on the ground in these regions, working to deliver aid to civilians who have lost their homes, loved ones, and livelihoods despite dangerous conditions for humanitarian aid workers.

With state-based violence higher now than at any time since World War II, we are asking you to make your year-end, tax-deductible donation now for families in crisis. And for a limited time — your gift will go TWICE as far thanks to our generous partner, Ripple, who has contributed $500,000 to encourage compassionate people like you to match their gift.

There is little doubt that civilians bear the brunt of conflict:
In Haiti, gang violence has reached a critical point. With key regions and highways under gang control, supply chains have been disrupted and prices of food baskets have soared over recent months. Nearly half the population — 5.4 million Haitians — are struggling to access and afford nutritious food.

In Gaza, famine still looms. More than 90% of Gaza’s population is expected to face acute food insecurity over the next six months unless the fighting stops and more aid reaches families. About 60,000 children under 5 are expected to experience acute malnutrition between November and April of next year.

In Sudan, violence against civilians continues to escalate. Recent hostilities forced at least 119,000 people from multiple locations in Aj Jazirah to flee to nearby states. The number of people displaced across the country has reached 11 million.
The compassion and generosity of people like you, in moments like this, can help us make a lasting impact for families confronting conflict and climate change in places like Lebanon, Gaza, Sudan, Ukraine, and beyond.

Make your tax-deductible matching gift by credit card, PayPal, or ApplePay to fuel our humanitarian response in 2025 and beyond.

Sincerely,

The Mercy Corps team
