Hi friend --
Republican congressman and white nationalist Steve King is in trouble.
The Hill reports that, "Top Republicans and conservative outside groups are rallying around Rep. Steve King's (R-Iowa) challenger ahead of the June 2 primary election, worried that the nine-term lawmaker's record of inflammatory remarks will be a drag on the GOP everywhere."
The inflammatory remarks in question? King has made several, but most infamously once asked The New York Times: "White nationalist, white supremacist, Western civilization -- how did that language become offensive?"
Since King is a nine-term congressman, that means the GOP was just fine with him filling a seat for them until his opinions started making headlines. King wouldn't even be facing a serious primary challenger if it weren't for the work that J.D. Scholten -- King's Democratic challenger in 2018 and again in 2020 -- accomplished alongside other Democrats to expose him.
The last thing we want is to let King and the party leaders who allowed him to exist off the hook now. That's why we'd like your help sending a strong message, tell us:
