As we wrap up this campaign, I want to introduce you to Zambia-based African Education Program (AEP). Zambia has one of the world’s fastest growing and youngest populations, with 68% of Zambians under the age of 25.
AEP’s Reproductive Health Access Initiative provides young people modern contraceptives, education around pregnancy and HIV/STI prevention, and access to menstrual health products. And while the pregnancy rate for young women under 18 is 30% in Zambia, students participating in AEP’s program have an under-18 pregnancy rate of just 2%.
