Thank You, NY-24, for a Fantastic 2024!

As we begin 2025 and the 119th Congress, I am honored to have completed a full term representing our District. Over the past two years, I have worked tirelessly to advocate for fiscal responsibility and commonsense solutions in Washington, deliver thousands of dollars in federal resources and investment to our community, and champion transparency and accountability.

Throughout my time as an elected official, I have prioritized open and transparent communication in public service. This is highlighted by my mission to explain every vote I take on the House Floor. Even if we do not always agree, you will always know where I stand on the issues. So far, I have explained more than 800 votes in great detail. I will continue to prioritize a government that is transparent and accountable to you.

Starting January 3, 2025, with the beginning of the 119th Session of Congress, our district will reflect changes from New York’s recent redistricting process. I will continue representing New York’s 24th District, which now includes parts of Steuben County and Schuyler County. However, some areas currently in the district will be represented by Congressman-Elect John Mannion and Congressman Joe Morelle. For more information on who will represent you in Congress starting January 3, visit www.house.gov/representatives/find-your-representative

I thank you again for the opportunity to represent you in Congress. I look forward to continuing to be a strong advocate for NY-24 in the 119th Congress, and I wish you and your family a very happy, safe, and healthy New Year!

Sincerely,

As your voice in Washington, I will always stand up for what’s right and serve transparently with honor, integrity, and compassion. With the start of 2025 and the 119th Congress among us, I want to hear from you.

Celebrating Justice Mike Norris and Justice Stacey Romeo

Last week, representatives from our office attended the swearing-in ceremony of Assemblyman Mike Norris, who will end his time in the State Assembly in the 144th district and join the bench as a Supreme Court Justice for the 8th Judicial district in January. Assemblyman Norris brings a breadth of experience to the bench; before his time in the Assembly he served as the City of Lockport’s Attorney, and he brings important election law knowledge to the bench from his time as Niagara County’s Republican Election Commissioner. Mike has the experience and temperament to be an outstanding Justice. While I will miss seeing Mike out and about in the district, our loss is the 8th Judicial District’s gain. Best of wishes, Mike.

Additionally, last week, a member of our office attended the swearing-in of Judge Stacey Romeo, Justice Elect for the 7th Judicial District. Judge Romeo will be a fantastic addition to the 7th Judicial District; she has served as a Monroe County Family Court Judge for the past 8 years and was named Supervising Judge in January 2021. Before her time on the bench, she was a confidential law clerk for the New York State Unified Court System. I was looking forward to speaking at her ceremony, but unfortunately, votes kept me in Washington, so I missed out on the celebration—best wishes to my friend Stacey.
