 Dear John, Last night was an incredible success. The energy of over 350 people joining in the virtual phone bank for music with artist @SURELLZ, dancing, talks with candidates Bowman, Booker, and Romanoff, and making calls to our communities across the country was incomparable. This is what people power looks like:
In just a couple hours, we made over 11,000 calls to neighbors in New York, Kentucky, and Colorado. And the response we got was overwhelmingly positive. We have to do this again. People were ecstatic to hear about the amazing work done by Jamaal Bowman, Charles Booker, and Andrew Romanoff in the fight for a Green New Deal. Many were already supporters happy to hear from fellow allies. Some had no idea there were better options for these upcoming elections and were won over by these candidates’ amazing records. And some were supporters of opponents who, after hearing about these candidates’ deep links to their communities and vision for a better future, had their hearts and minds swayed to vote for our Green New Deal champions instead. That is the power of this movement. We need to keep that momentum going. Hop on the phones again with us next week and help us reach even more people.
