Blue Letter - 12/28/24

It’s been a while since I last wrote one of these. And well… a lot’s happened since, but better late than never – especially before 2025.

It has been a heartbreaking time for many of us, as our country again chose to elect a Pro-Putin, convicted-felon President of the United States. I’m concerned for my loved ones, friends, neighbors–all Americans who may be targeted by a second Trump administration. I’m angry that we’re going through this again when we knew who this man was, witnessed his deranged ramblings for years..

It’s clear that this year’s results were a reflection of people dissatisfied with the state of our country. Assaulted by disinformation from Moscow to Musk. It’s a time of reflecting as Democrats, about who we are and what we stand for. It’s time for us to regroup – to look to previous generations who engaged in these battles and won – and dig our heels in for 2025 and beyond. Because the fight is nowhere near done. We have special elections coming up for the House and Senate, as well as local and state races throughout the country.

We may have lost this time – and I won’t mince words, to a ghoul–but the fight for democracy and our fundamental freedoms is far from over. From the First Battle of Bull Run to Japanese Internment during World War II, America has been here before. Every time we’ve eventually defeated evil. So to my friends reading this: take time to celebrate the holidays with loved ones, decompress and reset. When the calendar turns over, we get up, dust ourselves off and live up to the heroes who preceded us and continued the cause of liberty.

Thank you for a great 2024, Blue Amp Action Crew! Now Let’s Keep The Excitement Going in 2025! 🎉
