John,

From the frontline workers risking their wellbeing to keep us safe to the small business owners struggling to stay afloat during this difficult time -- Congress should be focused on providing relief to the people who need it the most during this pandemic.

But some corporations have taken advantage of programs intended to help small businesses recover. They've received millions in loans, while small businesses have been left empty-handed. Join Kim by adding your name if you agree we need strong oversight to ensure economic assistance goes to people first, not corporations.

Thanks,

Friend,

Small businesses are the backbone of our economy, and in the midst of this pandemic, we can't afford to leave them behind. That's why Kim and her colleagues passed an economic stimulus package -- which includes the Paycheck Protection Program -- to provide aid to small businesses and workers who are suffering the most during this crisis.

But while these programs are intended to help small businesses, publicly traded companies have already received over $1 billion in government loans. Many of these companies employ more than 500 people and can afford to pay their executives millions of dollars annually. At the same time, many small businesses have not received the assistance they need.

We need to ensure economic assistance goes to the small businesses that need it most. Add your name if you agree we need strong oversight to ensure this recovery puts people first, not giant corporations →

Team -- we can't bail out corporations while our local small businesses suffer. The Paycheck Protection Program was created to help small businesses, but the first pool of funding left 80% of applicants without any loans, while giving millions to corporations. This is unacceptable.

We must prioritize sending aid to the people who need it most -- essential workers, workers who've been laid off or furloughed, and small business owners who are facing economic ruin.

The Trump administration must take action to ensure oversight for economic programs like the PPP, so we can guarantee loans are going to the small businesses that need them -- not large corporations.

If you agree we shouldn't bail out corporations while our small businesses suffer, add your name now.

Thanks,

Team Schrier
