Hi John,
The results of last month’s elections have many Democrats feeling discouraged, and we share your pain and your frustration with how things went at the national level. At the same time, we should have reason to hope: although we didn’t quite flip the House of Representatives, we cut the Republican majority to a historically narrow margin — and here in New Mexico, we re-elected strong Democratic leaders up and down the ballot.
Now, we’re gearing up for a year of serious organizing in 2025 as we work to recruit and train Democratic women and nonbinary individuals to eventually run for office. This work extends far beyond any one election — it’s about building a powerful network of leaders who are ready to stand up for New Mexico families. We've set a fundraising goal of $2,500 by the end of the year to start 2025 strong - can you please support a donation today? [[link removed]]

Long-term political power is built through sustained investment in bottom-up organizing. At Emerge New Mexico, we have always embraced the hard work of engaging new folks in electoral politics, and it’s gratifying beyond words to see so many of our candidates succeed on the national, state and local levels. All of this work depends on our grassroots fundraising efforts — and we’re so grateful for anything you can chip in to help us meet this important goal.
All the best,
Estela Hernandez
