Bible Sales Are Skyrocketing: What’s Going On?

God’s truth is reaching new eyes, with Bibles reportedly flying off shelves this year.

In fact, Bible sales are up 22% this year through the end of October when compared to last year’s sales during the same time period, making for “a golden age of Bible publishing,” according to The Wall Street Journal ([link removed] ) .

And here’s why this figure matters. U.S. book sales were up less than 1% during that same period, meaning the Bible’s growth in sales far outpaced what was happening more generally in the print literary space.

The WSJ crunched the numbers ([link removed] ) and found Bible sales increased from 9.7 million in 2019 to 14.2 million in 2023. In the first 10 months of 2024, 13.7 million copies were sold, with still two months left to count.

So, why the increase, you ask? It seems chaos and uncertainty in the world, among other factors, could be turning people back to the Lord.

Biden Admin Quietly Withdraws Title IX Rule Forcing Schools to Let Boys Compete in Girls’ Sports

The Biden administration withdrew a rule that would have forced schools receiving federal funds to allow boys to compete in girls’ and women’s sports, if they claim to identify as girls.

The withdrawal comes one month before President-elect Donald Trump takes office, and in the context of multiple lawsuits against a previous rule change that went into effect on August 1.

In that previous rule, the Department of Education reinterpreted Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972, a law that bars discrimination on the basis of sex in education. The changes force gender ideology on Americans in the name of prohibiting discrimination on the basis of sexual orientation and gender identity.

At least seven circuit courts have temporarily blocked the Title IX rewrite as unconstitutional, blocking it from taking effect in 26 states.

New Jimmy Stewart Biopic Depicts Life and Faith of Hollywood Actor: 'Show Me the Way, God'

A new movie documenting the life of actor and WWII Air Force officer Jimmy Stewart is being developed by a Hollywood production company with the help of Stewart's family.

The movie titled A Truly Wonderful Life will showcase Stewart's story filled with valor, purpose, and faith.

Aaron Burns, who is a director/producer at Burns & Co., and his team have been developing the project with Stewart's daughter, Kelly Stewart-Harcourt, according to Deadline ([link removed] ) .

After winning the 1940 Academy Award for Best Actor for the film The Philadelphia Story, Stewart answered his country's call by enlisting in the U.S. Army Air Corps in 1941, earning his wings as a combat pilot. He worked his way to squadron commander and helped to lead fellow Americans through combat missions over Germany.

According to Movie Guide ([link removed] ) , Stewart clung to Psalms 91 while overseas. It was written in a note his father gave him before he left to serve his country.
