As 2024 comes to a close, I’ve been reflecting on the past year and the overall difficult election night for Democrats.

The worst thing we could do right now is lose hope. My fight to stand up for working families is far from over, and I’m honored my constituents reelected me to continue this work.

I have cut through the political noise to get results for IL-13 since day one, and my commitment to bipartisanship hasn’t changed.

It's not always an easy path to go down, but it’s important to find common ground with my colleagues on both sides of the aisle. Otherwise, we would not have accomplished so much for Central and Southern Illinois.

We focused on local issues impacting Illinois families, farmers, and workers, addressing their priorities through commonsense solutions.

From lowering the cost of insulin, passing the PACT Act to expand health care benefits for veterans, and fighting for a Farm Bill that treats our farmers fairly — I’ll always put real results over petty politics.
