Dear John,
At the heart of Claremont’s mission to uphold the principles of the American Founding and defend the American way of life, our Center for Constitutional Jurisprudence (CCJ) has led the charge in the critical legal battles taking place at the nation’s highest court.
In 2024, CCJ has been involved in 8 of the last 11 major Supreme Court rulings and has significantly contributed to the conservative legal transformation. The Center’s influence has been felt in several key areas such as:
- Reining in the Administrative State: The Court finally rejected "Chevron deference," a judicial doctrine that had allowed unelected bureaucrats to determine the scope of their own authority with minimal oversight. This landmark decision, Loper Bright Enterprises v. Raimondo, helps to restore the proper balance of power between government agencies and the people’s elected representatives.
- Free Speech and Government Overreach: In cases such as National Rifle Assoc. v. Vullo, the Court issued important rulings affirming our foundational right to free speech, while curbing the power of the state to threaten this speech.
- Presidential Immunity & Ballot Access: Most notably, the CCJ has played a critical role in shaping the legal debate and decisions regarding presidential immunity in Trump v. United States, and ballot access in Trump v. Anderson—issues at the forefront of the battle to defend our constitutional system.

We are now in the midst of one of the biggest fights yet. This Supreme Court session, Dr. John Eastman and the CCJ submitted an amicus curiae brief in defense of Tennessee's law protecting children from irreversible “gender transition” medical procedures. This law stands as a xxxxxx against ideological agendas that seek to undermine parental rights and the well-being of our children.
Claremont’s brief emphasizes two fundamental truths: parents have a natural and constitutional right to direct the care and upbringing of their children, but we also have a responsibility to protect children from this egregious abuse.
