Dear Friend,
What is your legacy?
Legacy evokes a sense of history and purpose, of a life well-lived, and a story that lives on. The National Association of Scholars is all about legacies.
And as we enter the final days of 2024, I wanted to let you know how you can make the NAS a part of your legacy by sharing a few of the planned giving options available to you as an NAS member.
Making Your Estate Gift
Making a gift through your estate doesn’t have to be complicated, and there are a number of ways you can support the NAS without altering your life today or your family’s future security. By making an estate gift, you are planning ahead and setting the NAS up to receive estate assets in the future.
There are a number of ways you can do this. For instance:
- You can include language in your will or trust specifying a tax-deductible gift to the NAS.
- You can make the NAS a beneficiary of your will, revocable trust, or retirement plan. The benefit of this is that it costs you absolutely nothing during your lifetime!
- You can donate appreciated stock, which can help to lower capital gains liabilities.
- Or you can even set yourself up to receive a fixed income from your gift for the rest of your life by establishing a charitable gift annuity.
Securing Your Legacy
And now is the perfect time to make these decisions. You can secure your legacy and help the NAS secure the legacy of Western civilization—all at the same time!
Please feel free to reach out to our team at [email protected] to discuss what options may be right for you.
Warmly,
Chris Kendall
