This holiday season, we celebrate freedom and your role in defending it.

Dear John

As we reflect on this past year and the challenges ahead, we want to take a moment to thank the community of people who support the National Coalition Against Censorship. Together, we’ve championed the core tenets of the First Amendment, and your unwavering dedication has fueled our mission every day. We are deeply grateful for supporters like you who help us fight the censors and ensure that America stays genuinely free. We simply cannot do our vital work without you. Thank you.

We also celebrate NCAC's partners, clients, and members fighting censorship at the front lines - from the families fighting book bans to the artists and curators working to protect vibrant artistic expression to the students working to instill First Amendment values for the next generation. We toast to all of the creators, the squeaky wheels, and the advocates who make our free expression values come alive.

The First Amendment ensures we can uplift our voices - whether in gratitude or dissent - and have a say in our democracy. However, those individual First Amendment rights are just 100 years old in practice, and we've spent 50 of those years fighting censorship. We at NCAC know never to take these rights for granted.

Finally, on a personal note, I want to express my gratitude to the NCAC's staff, who are dedicated to defending and expanding your free expression rights and who inspire me every day. It is an honor to be in this fight with them and with you - and I am forever grateful for that privilege.

As the holidays bring us together, let’s celebrate the power of free expression and our collective efforts to protect it. May your season be filled with joy, peace, and inspiration to continue advocating for a world where creativity and ideas know no bounds.
