488.
That’s the number of mass shootings that have happened in our country this year alone — more mass shootings than there were days in 2024. While this number is still staggering and unacceptable, mass shootings actually went down by 27% since last year.
That's how I know that it’s possible to break this deadly cycle of gun violence and forge a new, safer country for us all. That’s what Brady has been working toward for decades, and we are seeing the life-saving results of this dedication. But the fight ahead is going to be harder than ever, with a gun lobby-backed administration taking over the White House and Congress.
In a moment, I'm going to ask you to make a year-end donation to help us continue our fight to end the gun violence epidemic as we face the immense challenges a second Trump presidency will bring to our movement. But if you're already prepared to fight, please make a 2X-MATCHED donation here! >>

John, we’ve made immense progress in our fight to free America from gun violence this year and I want to highlight some of our most powerful accomplishments that were possible thanks to your tireless support...
Victory in the states: In 2024, state legislatures passed 73 Brady priority bills, and 48 of those bills became law.
Victory in the Supreme Court: In summer 2024, in a historic 8-1 decision, the Supreme Court sided with domestic violence survivors and the majority of Americans, ruling that guns should be kept out of the hands of domestic abusers.
Victory in changing the culture: For the first time ever, the Surgeon General declared gun violence a public health crisis and issued a formal report on gun violence in America.
There's no doubt that our advocacy — and yours, John — made a real impact this year. But make no mistake, we have a long road ahead of us still.
2025 will hold tougher battles.
In the courts, we'll be fighting hard to protect gun laws and continuing to fight the proliferation of dangerous ghost guns.
In Washington, we'll be up against a new Trump administration and a pro-gun Congress.
And in communities across this country, we'll be continuing our work to change the culture from the ground up.
If we want to take on the gun lobby and its bought-and-paid-for politicians, pass meaningful gun safety legislation, and save lives, we need you in this fight with us.
So please, before our end-of-year deadline in just a few days, will you make a donation to help Brady end gun violence?
