Dear John,

It's Idina! If I had magical powers like Elphaba or Elsa, I would transport you to my very first visit to Children's Hospital Los Angeles. On that day, I met patients, their parents, and some of the hospital's amazing nurses and doctors.

I learned that CHLA feels like a place where magic really happens—a beautiful and healing place full of wonderful people who care for CHLA's patients.

When I visited the hospital, my sister and I read from our children's book, "Loud Mouse," and I met a little girl named Lily, who had dressed up like Elsa from "Frozen." I don't think I've ever been so honored.

Because I love this hospital and our community's kids, I'm writing to share an important update on CHLA's 2024 end-of-year fundraising campaign: Starting right now, Credit Unions for Kids will TRIPLE all donations to the Children's Fund, up to $500,000. But you have to donate before midnight on 12/31!

Reading and singing with the kids that day and seeing their faces light up with joy made me so hopeful. I can't express what an absolute privilege it was.
