Let's be real, John: Trump’s appointments are an absolute disaster. His picks aren’t just wrong — they’re dangerous.

Rather than being based on merits or experience, Trump’s cabinet choices are all about money and loyalty to him.

The total net worth of Trump’s first presidential cabinet came in at around a whopping $6.2 billion. Based on his picks this time around thus far, that number is about to get a whole lot bigger, and billionaire influence on our government is sure to increase.

Tech mogul Elon Musk — the vocal MAGA loyalist who alone has an estimated net worth between $200-250 billion — is slated to lead Trump’s new “Department of Government Efficiency” — an outside government department with unclear objectives.

Then we have Linda McMahon as Trump’s choice to head the Department of Education. On top of having no relevant experience, she’s also facing a criminal lawsuit accusing her of covering up child sex abuse.

And let’s not forget Pete Hegseth. The Fox News host has a history of anti-gay rhetoric and is hellbent on rolling back women’s rights in the military. He’s also Donald Trump’s nominee for our country’s Secretary of Defense.

These are only a handful of Trump’s most recent cabinet picks. And while Donald Trump rewards his billionaire buddies and insiders with power, the rest of Americans are likely to have their lives jeopardized by harmful policies dictated by an unqualified, out-of-touch, extremist cabinet.

John, we cannot sit back silently while Trump makes it the norm for billionaires to buy the power to dismantle our rights and put profits above America’s future.
