Action NC

Friend --

Drug companies put their huge profits before our healthcare needs, and politicians like Thom Tillis continue to let this happen. Action NC is working with partner groups here in North Carolina and around the nation on a Lower Drug Prices Now! campaign. We will do a launch event for the campaign—along with events in over 30 other states—on Tuesday, August 20th at 11:30 am at Thom Tillis’ office in Raleigh (310 New Bern Ave), in collaboration with the Tuesdays With Tillis weekly event.

We need drug price regulation that ensures that life-saving and other vital medications are accessible to everyone at a price we can afford. And we need to hold elected officials like Thom Tillis accountable for transforming the system based on what’s best for people, not for Pharma profits.

There will be a lot of action in Washington this fall on drug prices. We want to ensure that our voices—and those of the one-in-four Americans who skip prescription doses or go without their medications because they can’t afford them—are louder than Pharma’s, so the reforms are real and lasting, not just what the drug companies are telling politicians they want.

We’ll discuss the campaign, hear from folks struggling to get insulin and other life-saving medications, and make plenty of noise about healthcare justice for Tillis to hear and heed. Come join us!
