For 2025, we have a plan.

A plan to ensure Democrats keep a backbone against Donald Trump and Elon Musk’s cuts to Social Security and veteran’s health as they push tax cuts for billionaires and other corrupt self dealing.

Our plan involves combining our operation with other groups that have key strengths to ensure that Democratic leaders who may be wobbly get 360-degree shock-and-awe engagement from stakeholders they respect.

Our plan is modeled off of Voltron, the hit 1980’s cartoon loved by millions:

Here are details of how it will work…

We have a lobbying team called P Street – the progressive alternative to K Street. We usually get intel about Democrats being great or being wobbly before anyone else (including the media) because our relationships are very good. Afterall, we helped elect a lot of Congress!

Assume that we find out – as we will – that a Democratic senator is open to cutting taxes for Wall Street, cutting Social Security, or preemptively conceding to Musk’s plans to line his own pockets.

In normal times, we would directly engage that senator and their senior staff. And we will.

But for this extraordinarily scary time, we’re going further. Voltron refers to five mechanical lions who can’t defeat a giant villain on their own – but unite to form a giant super hero with more strength to defeat giant villains. Put another way, the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.

Our Voltron strategy will ensure that a wobbly senator hears from:

• Voters in their state.
• Local officials and state legislators back home.
• U.S. House members from their state.
• Their donors!
• Direct engagement of the Member and their staff.
• Reporters asking about their potential wobbliness.

The net result: Wobbly politicians realize very quickly that “everyone is talking about this” and their actions will not happen below the radar. That’s called ACCOUNTABILITY. We need more of it.
