In the final days of 2024, I’ve been thinking a lot about resilience.

The resilience of the American people, who live with the daily toll of gun violence and remain determined to create a safer future. The resilience of survivors, who face their darkest days and emerge on the other side. But especially, I’ve been thinking about the resilience of gun safety advocates, including you.

We’ve faced many challenges over the years, and it can be easy to despair—I know this better than most. But the one thing I’ve never lost is hope.

Can you make a donation to help us maintain our momentum in 2025?

I’m hopeful because of all the tremendous progress GIFFORDS Law Center made this year. We won our lawsuit against two of the largest suppliers of ghost guns in the country, preventing them from selling their products in Philadelphia. With the help of our policy experts, 28 states passed 88 gun safety laws in 2024, bringing the total number of new gun safety laws since the Sandy Hook massacre in 2012 to over 700.

I’m hopeful, because I know all this progress was thanks to you.

It’s because of supporters like you that our movement continues to move forward. It’s because of your resilience that we are able keep saving lives from gun violence.

We undoubtedly have some tough days ahead. But we also have a plan, and looking back at this year, I am optimistic as I see all that we’ve accomplished together. You give me hope, and I am so proud to be in this fight alongside you.
