The corporate media’s dirty little secret is that Trump is good for business. On one end, he drives up their ratings. On the back end, he cuts taxes for media conglomerates and their billionaire owners. And big corporate media advertisers—the drug companies, insurance industry, fossil fuel giants, and Wall Street—are thrilled about Trump.

The corporate media has failed and will continue to fail because they don’t judge the threat the way you do—and won’t suffer so long as they stay in line.

Common Dreams, meanwhile, is dedicated to fighting for the working class, confronting corporate power, and building a better world—despite all the challenges in front of us—we know is possible.
