Millions of Indians today have more economic freedom thanks to the work of Dr. Parth J. Shah, a long-time friend of Atlas Network and founder of Centre for Civil Society (CCS), a nonprofit based in New Delhi.
We recently presented Dr. Shah with the 2024 Sir Antony Fisher Achievement Award for what he and CCS have accomplished over the past 25+ years:
- Expanded freedom and property rights for millions of street vendors
- Lowered barriers to entry for a range of jobs and occupations
- Passed one of the world’s largest-ever school choice reforms
Under Dr. Shah’s leadership, CCS has achieved enormous victories. But behind these successes lies a story of perseverance.
Dr. Shah’s path wasn’t easy, and he experienced many ups and downs along the way. Fortunately, Atlas Network had his back.
We invited Dr. Shah to numerous Atlas Network Academy seminars and awarded him significant grant funding for his projects.
These programs helped Dr. Shah get his ideas across the finish line quickly, efficiently, and in a way that would make a lasting impact for the people of India.
We supported Dr. Shah and CCS when they needed us most, and as a result, millions of Indians have more freedom now than ever before.
Atlas Network makes transformations like this possible by equipping freedom advocates with the resources and training they need to succeed.
