Dear John,
As we turn the page to a new year I am looking back and reflecting on the last 12 months, and wow, so much has happened! It is often easy to feel disheartened by what we see happening around the world. More and more people are forced to flee war and violence. Homes destroyed, lives shattered. But I also see my colleagues working every day to provide those same people with the things they need most – a warm blanket, cash to buy food, repairs to their home. And importantly, a warm smile and caring hand. And we couldn’t do any of it without you.
As we enter a new year I am filled with hope. This is traditionally a time to plan for the year ahead, to make resolutions, and start the year off on the right foot. Yet, before this year comes to an end, our goal is to support 2,000 families with critical winter aid, helping them survive the harsh winter months.
If you just make one resolution this New Year, choose to give people hope.
