Putin Is Ready to Meet with Trump |
Vladimir Putin on Thursday expressed eagerness to meet with Donald Trump, offering a sign of hope that the yearslong Russia/Ukraine war may soon end. “Of course, I am ready for this at any time, and I will be ready for a meeting if he wants it,” the Russian president said during his end-of-year press conference.
Putin also hailed his country’s newfound economic independence, saying he “believes that Russia has become much stronger over the past two or three years. Why? Because we are becoming a truly sovereign country, we are already hardly dependent on anyone.” Western leaders like Joe Biden thought their sanctions would cripple the warring country, but in Putin’s eyes, they have only made it more powerful.
A Trump/Putin summit cannot come soon enough. Once he assumes office, the American president-elect will have the power to end the war in Eastern Europe and bring long-awaited peace to the embattled region. Joe Biden’s “fight to the death” approach has failed. It is time for a new vision. Read more. |
CNN Admits Biden Is “Seemingly Missing” |
After years of gaslighting the American people with the obvious lie that Joe Biden is “sharp as a tack,” the corporate media is finally giving up the act. CNN’s Wolf Blitzer is the latest example. On Thursday, the longtime host admitted that the president appears to be “missing in action” during his final weeks on the job. “President Biden went on vacation in Saint Croix today,” Blitzer pointed out to a Congresswoman during their interview. “He has no public events scheduled tomorrow. He has, what, just 25 days left in his presidency? Why do you think he is seemingly missing in action?”
The truth is that the United States does not really have a president. The man currently holding the title is unlikely to know what day of the week it is and could not be trusted to successfully execute a grocery run. Democrat leadership and its media allies have known this for years. They’re only beginning to admit it now. Read more.

“Gender Discrimination” Lawsuit Forces Family-Restaurant Closure |
A family-owned California restaurant is closing its doors for good after settling a costly discrimination lawsuit over its “Ladies Night” promotion. Lima Restaurant, located approximately 20 miles outside Oakland, used to have a once-a-week deal offering half-priced drinks to its female customers. The standard concept existed for years before a team of “ambulance-chasing lawyers” came after the business for “discrimination.”
California law makes sex-based promotions preposterously illegal, meaning innocent gimmicks like “Ladies Night,” passing out bobbleheads to women at a Giants game on Mother’s Day, or a “Women’s Weekend” at a cottage resort could make the facilitator subject to a lawsuit.
“Hello, I’m a lady. If I want to go out with the girls, it doesn’t seem like a rude thing to do,” a Lima customer reportedly said while enjoying her final drink at the restaurant. In a sane country, no one would bat an eye. Read more.

Liberal Lawyers Urge Congress to Upend the People’s Will |
The Hill published an opinion piece on Thursday calling on Congress to invoke the 14th Amendment to prevent Donald Trump from assuming the presidency. Lawyers named Evan Davis and David Schulte wrote the piece, parroting the tired talking point that the president-elect is an “oath-breaking insurrectionist” and is therefore ineligible to become president. "Disqualification is based on insurrection against the Constitution,” the essay argues. “The evidence of Donald Trump’s engaging in such insurrection is overwhelming."
Like many on the Left, Davis and Schulte do not seem deterred by the irony of trying to “save democracy” by reversing the will of the electorate. They view the January 6th election justice protest as a failed coup against the government, and their solution is to respond by launching a successful one of their own. All while insisting the other side is the threat to democracy. Read more. |
Bizarre New Excuse for Harris’s Defeat Surfaces |
Salon.com writer Amanda Marcotte published an op-ed on Thursday blaming Kamala Harris’s loss on Trump voters’ purportedly uncontrollable lust for disinformation. “[MAGA is] a community with a pathological aversion to reality, where people compulsively react to anything truth-shaped with hostility, running as hard as they can toward disinformation,” Marcotte claimed. “They are addicted to BS. Of course they voted for Trump, the country’s most reliable dealer of their favorite drug.” The irony is that Harris, whom Marcotte surely supported, spent her campaign sitting pompously atop a throne of lies. She said Trump wanted to sign a national abortion ban even though he explicitly promised not to. She falsely associated Trump with Project 2025 even though he had nothing to do with its creation. And her running mate told voters tall tales about his time fighting in war even though he actually has no such experience. Interestingly, Salon.com is short on pieces covering that. Read more.

Do Canadians Want to Join the United States? |
Canadian investor Kevin O’Leary claimed on Thursday that “at least half” of America’s northern neighbors are interested in their country becoming the U.S.’s 51st state, stoking the flames of Donald Trump’s presidential-level troll of Justin Trudeau. “Canadians over the holidays, the last two days, have been talking about this. They want to hear more,” the Shark Tank star said during an interview before adding that such a merger “could be the beginning of an economic union.” “I like this idea and at least half of Canadians are interested,” he stated.
O’Leary also made the case that combining the two countries could help counter the growing alliance between Russia and China. “Think about the power of combining the two economies, erasing the border between Canada and the United States and putting all that resource up to the northern borders where China and Russia are knocking on the door,” he said.
According to Donald Trump, “If Canada was to become our 51st State, their Taxes would be cut by more than 60%.” From your average Canuck’s perspective, it’s impossible to deny that proposition’s appeal. Read more.

The Washington Examiner published a piece on Thursday detailing why so many of 2024’s undecided voters wound up supporting Donald Trump, and the chief explanation provides refreshing reason for hope about America’s future. “President-elect Donald Trump’s vow to bring peace [after years of Democrat-backed chaos] resonated with people frustrated by [Kamala] Harris’s association with former Republican Wyoming Rep. Liz Cheney,” the article reads. How glorious.
Harris did more than merely associate herself with the establishment’s favorite war hawk and January 6th propagandist. She embraced her. In the weeks leading up to Election Day, the failed border czar traveled the country with Cheney, lecturing Americans about the need to defend democracy while subverting it on a global scale, uphold American values while funding the slaughter of tens of thousands of civilians, and promote truth-telling while spreading lazy and defamatory lies about Donald Trump’s campaign.
It didn’t have to be that way. Although it may be difficult to recall, Harris’s campaign began on a somewhat competent and entirely Cheney-free note. Immediately after her party undemocratically crowned her its leader, the vice president focused her messaging on lowering prices, fixing America’s housing market, and providing financial relief for middle-class families. Regardless of whether you agree with her methods for solving those issues, it is undeniable that those are the topics American voters care about. It was wise of the campaign to emphasize them.
Then something weird happened. Harris’s strategy changed. Rather than showing a commitment to improving the electorate’s lived experience, the vice president wrapped her arms around the group most responsible for wrecking it in the first place: Washington’s neocons.
The American people do not want war. That was true in the 50s, it was true in the 70s, and it remains true today. The Democrat Party’s bizarre embrace of the architects of one of history’s most asinine wars, America’s needless incursion in Iraq, showed that its leaders do not care. It may have cost them the White House. Hallelujah.

December 27, 1983: Pope John Paul II forgives his would-be assassin. Two years earlier, Turkish hitman Mehmet Ali Ağca shot the pope in Vatican City, striking him twice and causing severe blood loss. An Italian court sentenced Ağca to life behind bars, but the country’s president eventually pardoned him at the pope’s request. Ağca converted to Roman Catholicism in 2007 and laid flowers at the pope’s grave in 2014. |
