Dear John,
As our Planetary Health Appeal [[link removed]] explores the connections between environmental issues, human health and social justice, a new article [[link removed]] on our website exposes the hidden costs of drug prohibition.
From the direct impact of punitive drug policies to the violence and corruption of the drug trade, we look at the ways that marginalised communities in particular are harmed by the current approach.
We also examine the environmental repercussions of drug policy, and how it contributes to damaging regional ecosystems and driving climate change globally.
Please donate today and help people come together globally to tackle systemic issues! [[link removed]]
While the work we do with specific communities focuses on finding practical ways to improve lives, we recognise the importance of building global networks so we can address the root causes of poor health and poverty.
Often this involves engaging with sensitive and controversial issues, like the prohibition of drugs, international relations and global economic systems.
Supporters like you enable us to address longstanding systemic issues that affect people's health and wellbeing worldwide. Thank you for all your contributions.
Warm regards,
Siaffa Bunduka,
Supporter Engagement Manager
