As our Planetary Health Appeal [[link removed]] explores the connections between environmental issues, human health and social justice, a new article [[link removed]] on our website exposes the hidden costs of drug prohibition.

From the direct impact of punitive drug policies to the violence and corruption of the drug trade, we look at the ways that marginalised communities in particular are harmed by the current approach.

We also examine the environmental repercussions of drug policy, and how it contributes to damaging regional ecosystems and driving climate change globally.
