DNC Finance Committee Member: "They essentially set $2.5 billion on fire”

Real Clear Politics: Former DNC National Finance Committee member Lindy Li told FBN’s ‘Varney & Co.’ she left the Democratic Party after coming under attack for criticizing the spending by the Harris-Walz presidential campaign. “So this is all happening really quickly for me, but you might see me at the inauguration. I don’t want to say too much right now, but somebody on Team Trump already reached out to me. They’ve been incredibly gracious, and on day one they were kinder to me and more humane than the DNC ever was,” Li told FOX Business (Real Clear Politics). Collin Rugg: Former Kamala fundraiser loses it, rips Harris for wasting her money on “oligarch” and billionaire Oprah Winfrey. Lindy Li has left the Democratic Party after they lit her money “on fire.” Li said she was treated better by the Trump team than the Harris team who “bribed” people like Al Sharpton with her money. “They essentially set $2.5 billion on fire… We still haven’t gotten any answers as to why Oprah, a billionaire, got $2.5 million through her production company.” “Then they spent $500,000 essentially bribing Al Sharpton moments before he interviewed her. And this is our hard-earned money. This is the money that I worked so hard to raise” (X).

Oregon Prepares Toolkit to Assist Illegals for ICE Raids
Do they work for Americans or illegal immigrants? Washington Examiner: The Oregon Department of Justice unveiled a Sanctuary Promise Community Toolkit as the sanctuary state gears up to resist the incoming Trump administration’s plan to deport illegal immigrants. Oregon Attorney General Ellen Rosenblum, a Democrat, said the toolkit, which is available as an online website, includes brochures, posters, and public service announcements in English, and Spanish. “I asked my Civil Rights Unit here at the Oregon DOJ to do whatever we could to provide the people, businesses, and local governments of our state with easy-to-read materials to help them know their rights and educate others,” she announced in a press release. The toolkit provides resources to illegal immigrants such as a crisis hotline, and avenues to report a suspected Oregon Sanctuary Law violation (Washington Examiner). Fox News: In 1987, Oregon lawmakers passed then-Rep. Rocky Barilla’s HB 2314 in response to several raids by INS – the U.S. Immigration & Naturalization Service, which transformed into USCIS, DHS and ICE in 2003. The law is largely considered the first “sanctuary state” policy in the country (Fox News).

Trump’s Ambitious Second Term to Begin With a Slew of Executive Orders
Breitbart: President-elect Donald Trump will take office on January 20 and has pledged to sign a host of executive orders (EOs) on day one. Many of the EOs will reverse policies undertaken by the Biden administration, restore Trump’s own past policies, and implement new policy goals. Stephen Miller, Trump’s pick for White House deputy chief of staff for policy, said deportations of illegal migrants will be the president-elect’s first priority. Axios compiled the actions Trump said he would take, ranking the list based on mentions from Trump’s 122 speeches, press conferences, and interviews delivered from January 1, 2023 to December 6, 2024. The list includes: Settle the Russia-Ukraine war, Close the border, and Cut federal funding for schools that teach CRT or who have a vaccine mandate (Breitbart). Axios: The tone of the next four years will be set on Day One. Trump and his transition — armed with a cannon of executive orders — are preparing an early shock-and-awe campaign to lay the foundation for his ambitious second term (Axios).

Israel Targets Houthi Airports, Power Stations
Wall Street Journal: Israel escalated its strikes against Houthi rebels in Yemen on Thursday, launching its first-ever attack on the airport in the capital and hitting two power stations after the Iran-backed group fired missiles at Israel in recent days. The Israeli military said the airstrikes targeted infrastructure that the Houthis, who control the capital, San’a, have used to bring Iranian weapons and officials into Yemen… In the past seven days, the Houthis have fired ballistic missiles at the densely populated Tel Aviv region late at night on four occasions, sending residents fleeing to bomb shelters. Israel has intercepted the vast majority of Houthi attacks over the past year, but recently some projectiles have eluded its defenses. On Dec. 19, a warhead from a Houthi missile struck a school in central Israel, collapsing the building but causing no casualties (Wall Street Journal). Open Source Intel: Houthi Leader: “Israel is incapable of confronting us.” He said this as Israel was taking out their airport and power stations (X). Power move by Israel.

California Gov. Gavin Newsom Throws $24 Billion Taxpayer Dollars to Solve Homelessness, Only Hits One-Third of Housing Goal
Breitbart: California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) is two-thirds short of the housing goal he set when he took office in 2019, while homelessness continues to rise across the state. The San Francisco Chronicle reported on the dismal lack of progress under Newsom, who promised to build 3.5 million homes, but has only seen 1.1 million homes permitted on his watch — not all of which have actually been built. Moreover, homelessness has risen across California, despite Newsom’s policy of spending billions of dollars to house the homeless in hotel and motel rooms (Breitbart). Gavin Newsom in 2017: As Governor, I will lead the effort to develop the 3.5 million new housing units we need by 2025 because our solutions must be as bold as the problem is big (Medium). Kevin Dalton: After losing 24 BILLION taxpayer dollars pretending to solve homelessness, Gavin Newsom thought he could stroll through Skid Row for a photo op without getting mercilessly questioned and heckled. Gavin was wrong (X).

Two Chinese Nationals Arrested After Illegally Entering Guam During Missile Test
Just the News: People’s Republic of China (PRC) and Chinese Communist Party (CCP) operatives and spies continue to be arrested in the U.S. The latest include two Chinese spies in California and several arrested in Guam near a U.S. military installation on the same day as an historic live ballistic missile interception test. Man Uses Knife to Slash at People in NYC Subway
ABC: A man accused of using a knife to slash a man and a woman in Manhattan’s Grand Central subway station faced assault and menacing charges Wednesday. The man was arrested on assault, reckless endangerment, menacing, harassment, disorderly conduct and a weapons charge after the attack at 10:15 p.m. Tuesday which left a 42-year-old man with an injured wrist and a 26-year-old woman with a neck injury, police said. Both victims were in stable condition at Bellevue Hospital after the attack and on Wednesday, police said. The attacks came amid heightened concerns about crime in the subways, particularly after the arrest Sunday of a man charged with setting a woman on fire on a subway car. The woman died from her injuries. Mayor Eric Adams told reporters in Harlem that the man had suffered from a history of mental illness (ABC). End Wokeness: Two people “randomly” slashed in Grand Central Terminal in New York City by a “stranger” with multiple prior arrests. No one stepped in to help (X). Is it really a surprise nobody came to help? After Daniel Penny, people are thinking twice about stepping in.

Communist Cuba Experiences Shortage of Sugar
HotAir: William F. Buckley was said to have joked: “What would happen if the Communists occupied the Sahara? Answer: Nothing—for 50 years. Then, there would be a shortage of sand.” This is the same thing as in Cuba with basic staples, where the price of sugar is now equivalent to $25 a pound. Cuba has been one of the world’s premier sugar producers since there was a Cuba. Sugar was the fuel for the economic engine of the entire region, and sugar has, until recently, been a key export for the communist country. No longer. Cuba can’t even produce enough sugar for domestic consumption (HotAir). Wretchardthecat: “Currently, a pound of sugar in Cuba is sold for 600 pesos, which is a high price in a country where salaries do not suffice to meet basic needs.” That’s $25 US a pound of sugar (X).
