Dear Colleague,

First, let me and all the C-Fam staff wish you and yours a very Merry Christmas. We celebrate the birth of Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!

There was some pretty awful news out of the UN this year including legal protection by many UN delegates for "virtual child p*rn" in the new cyber crimes treaty. They also want to punish those who might criticize the international regime. Read the top five worst things [[link removed]] that happened this year as enumerated by Stefano Gennarini, J.D.. Next week you will get the five best things that happened at the UN this year!

Ever heard of "femicide?" It was created in recent years to define the murder of women, usually by men. It now includes deaths related to "unsafe abortion." The great Rebecca Oas, Ph.D. has the story [[link removed]].

One thing you should know: C-Fam stands at the very center of all these debates; we not only report on what is happening, but our primary work is assisting delegations during negotiations. We have been doing this every working day since 1997. Say a prayer for this amazing C-Fam team; Lisa Correnti, Stefano Gennarini, Rebecca Oas, Iulia-Elena Cazan, Marina Kay, and Daniela Garcia!

Support our invaluable work HERE [[link removed]].

As always, spread the word. Be daring. Keep the faith.

Yours sincerely,

Austin Ruse

President

UN Office Proposes Labeling Abortion-Related Deaths as Femicides

By Rebecca Oas, Ph.D.

WASHINGTON, D.C. December 27 (C-Fam) As the UN carries out a sixteen-day campaign against “gender-based violence,” its Western European regional office proposed a definition of “femicide,” historically understood as the intentional murder of women, usually by men, to include deaths related to “unsafe abortion.” Read more >> [[link removed]]
