On January 3rd, the new Congress will be sworn in and shortly after the Senate will begin considering the President’s cabinet nominees, as outlined in the Constitution.

The President’s cabinet is critical to the success of his agenda, so when President Trump is sworn into office on January 20th, he can hit the ground running and deliver on the mandate given to him by the American people.

There are two major reasons why this petition is important:

1. Time is of the essence: Trump has 18 months at most to accomplish his legislative goals before Congress leaves DC to campaign for the midterm elections. The average time it takes the Senate to confirm Presidential Cabinet nominees has risen to 190 days under the Biden administration. This time cuts into those valuable 18 months. In total, there are approximately 1,400 executive appointments that the Senate will need to confirm, so there really is no time to waste. The people must put pressure on the Senate to rapidly approve the new Cabinet.
2. Senators need to hear your support: Many Senators have shown reluctance or outright opposition to President Trump’s picks. You can show the Senate that you support a swift confirmation of President Trump’s nominees.
