I wish every LGBTQ+ young person had a supportive community they could count on, especially this time of year. Yet many don’t have even one supportive adult in their lives — someone to turn to when they feel alone, anxious, depressed, or overwhelmed. 

But they’re not alone. They have The Trevor Project. Last fiscal year, Trevor’s counselors served more than 450,000 crisis contacts. For many of the young people who reach out, our crisis counselors are the first adults with whom they can be their authentic selves.

After analyzing the full day of post-election conversations across our Crisis Services team, we saw an overall volume increase of over 700% on November 6, compared to weeks prior.
