There are plenty of words you could use to describe a candidate who dodges the public and ducks the press. “Senator” shouldn’t be one of them.
Take Cory Gardner ... please.
Colorado’s junior senator hasn’t held a town hall meeting in more than two and a half years. Yesterday he became the first Senate candidate in more than 20 years to turn down a 9NEWS debate.
But Gardner isn’t the only politician in hiding. John Hickenlooper has skipped 19 debates over the last nine months—refusing to answer a single question from any of his opponents since he joined the race.
We deserve better.
Will you chip in $5 or more right now and help us replace Cory Gardner with a senator who actually shows up?
Andrew is running the most transparent campaign in America—engaging thousands of Coloradans at virtual house parties and town hall meetings every week. Andrew has personally contacted more than half a million voters in the last two months alone.
The kind of campaign you run says a lot about the kind of public servant you’ll be. This race has made two things clear:
- Gardner and Hickenlooper hold the electorate in contempt.
- Andrew Romanoff will be the most responsive and accountable senator Colorado has ever seen.
Chip in $5 or more right now and help us elect a senator who will put our interests first.
Thank you!
Team Romanoff
