| Gov. Evers, First Lady Celebrate Kwanzaa in Wisconsin |
MADISON — Gov. Tony Evers and First Lady Kathy Evers today shared a video message wishing Wisconsinites a happy Kwanzaa. First Lady: And I’m First Lady Kathy Evers. Today, we’re wishing all of those celebrating across our state a joyous Kwanzaa. Governor: Each year, this week reminds us of the seven principles of Kwanzaa—unity, self-determination, collective work and responsibility, cooperative economics, purpose, creativity, and faith. First Lady: These values help guide celebrations around the world and underscore the importance of togetherness, giving us the opportunity to cherish the bonds in our families and communities. Governor: May the next seven days bring plenty of warmth, prosperity, and joy for you and those you love into the new year and beyond. Together: Happy Kwanzaa, Wisconsin! |
