And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, "Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men."

This verse from Luke 2:13-14 paints a vivid picture of heaven’s response to the birth of Christ—a moment so profound that it caused an entire host of angels to erupt in praise. Their proclamation of “Glory to God in the highest” invites us to lift our hearts in worship, recognizing the magnitude of God’s love in sending His Son to dwell among us. The promise of “peace on earth, goodwill toward men” reminds us that Jesus' arrival brings reconciliation, not only between humanity and God but also among one another. At Christmastime, this verse encourages us to reflect on the peace and goodwill we are called to embody, celebrating the gift of Christ and spreading His light to a world longing for hope and love.
On this Christmas Day, my prayer for you and your loved ones
is that you experience the joy and peace that come from the miracle of Christ’s
birth. May your homes be filled with laughter, your hearts with gratitude, and
your spirits with hope.
