About two years ago, as we were settling into the holiday season, I was in the middle of making one of the most important decisions of my life.

And now, in just a few weeks, I’ll be sworn in as Arizona’s first Latino U.S. Senator. Together, we made history.

I didn’t grow up with much, and I know that none of this was guaranteed. Without you and your support I would not be here today.

So, as you gather with your loved ones for the holidays, I wanted to make sure I sent you a quick note to tell you how grateful I am for your help.

It meant the world to me. Really.
