KCYD Primary Election Endorsements
King County Young Democrats is proud to announce our endorsements for the 2020 primary elections. In order to have received our endorsement, each candidate must have received at least a two-thirds majority vote by the membership during the Endorsements Meeting that was held last Saturday (if you participated, thank you!).

The 36th LD Representative Pos. 2 race, the Lieutenant Governor race, and the Superior Court Pos. 30 race were all tabled until our September General Elections Endorsements meeting.

Did you know that we have two vacancies on the KCYD board at this time? Currently we have no Treasurer and no South At-Large Director. If you think you can do well in either of those two roles and want to join our all-star team, click on the button below to apply!
We will close applications after tomorrow, Friday, May 23, 2020 at 7pm.

Treasurer: Because our primary fundraising is through membership and we aren’t legally incorporated, the Treasurer has the freedom to do what they please in a lot of areas. Do they see themselves as a creative fundraiser? Do they want to drive membership? There are many possibilities with this role and why the portfolio here is looser than with other organizations treasurer.

At-Large Directors: While these roles are designated for people who live in certain areas, this should not be the only thing they are recruited for. This is for someone who wants to be involved and learn what roles do but not sure what they can contribute. Perfect for High School, College, or early career board members who can fill in where needed. South At-Large Directors must live south of Seattle or Newcastle per our bylaws.
