Will 2025 be the year?

Dear John,

Republicans Overseas wishes you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

We are heading into 2025 with Republican control of the White House, Senate, and House of Representatives and with a presidential pledge to end the double taxation of overseas Americans. Will 2025 be the year that overseas Americans finally get well-deserved relief from double taxation?

Republicans Overseas will do everything we can to support President Trump in making his pledge a reality. We expect the tax reform process to start soon after the new administration takes office and to conclude quickly. We will undoubtedly be asking for your help in contacting your legislators and securing their support for legislation that will end double taxation.

We have proposed four simple 'points on a napkin' that legislators could consider as guidelines for future legislation. These are streamlined principles rather than a prescription for 'how' to end double taxation.  Solomon Yue, Anthony Parent (IRS Medic), John Richardson (Citizenship Tax), and Kym Kettler discuss these points in two podcasts linked below.

We thank you for all of your support over the past year, and we look forward to an exciting 2025!

Let's Make Overseas Taxation Fair Again!

Sincerely,
Republicans Overseas
