Happy holidays, John!
As the year comes to a close, I want to share my deepest gratitude for you. Together, we’ve helped protect wildlife and landscapes—giving nature a real chance to thrive.
To honor you, I wanted to try something a little different. Since words can be a powerful way to reflect and share, I wrote this short poem to celebrate the care and generosity you’ve shown our planet:
"For the keeper of wild places"
In every forest, river, and sky,
your care reaches far, wide, and high.
A gift you’ve given, steady and strong,
to a world that’s grateful, where all belong.
The trees stand taller, the waters run clear,
because you showed up, year after year.
Your support echoes, steady and true.
Nature is better because of you.
This season, pause and take it in—
the lives you’ve helped, the change you’ve been.
With endless thanks, we wish you cheer,
and a brighter, greener, wilder new year.
