Dear John,

There’s a dual reality of working in the professional Israel-Palestine peacebuilding space. On the one hand, we want this organization– and the community that comes with it– to be around for a long time. We want to nurture the longevity of our community and the power of our voice to ensure that we are a part of the policy conversations that affect our work.

On the other hand, the ultimate goal is to put ourselves out of business, to no longer be needed. We want there to be safe, secure, peaceful democracies, here in the United States, and in Israel and Palestine. We are fighting for a world without illegal settlements, without terror, and without lawless annexation, where people with different histories, backgrounds, and beliefs can live peacefully side by side. In this season of holidays and gift-giving, I keep thinking: our gift to our children and grandchildren– is to do this work NOW so that the world they inherit can be a more just and peaceful one.

A huge highlight of launching New Jewish Narrative has been seeing the surge of support from all of you– engaging with the community that we’re so proud to represent and be a part of.

On this holiday, and through this holiday season, I hope you’ll consider making a donation to support our work.

Every dollar we receive in support helps us make the world a better, safer place for the generations that will follow us. Help us give the gift of peace to the next generation. Please donate in support of New Jewish Narrative today.

Wishing you peaceful, happy holidays– I hope your tables are laden with latkes and festooned with holiday spirit.
