As 2024 draws to a close, we wanted to express our gratitude for your ongoing support. While this year has been extremely turbulent and challenging, we remain optimistic and enthusiastic about the future of the Green Party. Below are some of our successes in 2024!

Key Highlights in 2024:
- Membership to the Illinois Green Party grew by 212%!!
- The Jill Stein campaign was even more successful as a write-in campaign than in 2020 where Greens were on the ballot, she received 31,023 votes in Illinois. This not only shows the appetite of the working class for more choices in our democracy but also illustrates the desire for justice by rejecting the corruption of the two-party system.
- We are proud that Greens held the line in defense of the student encampment at Washington University in St. Louis. ?Jill was arrested after being knocked to the ground with a bicycle by a police officer. Our very own Chibu Asonye was right by her side!
- We are proud of marching outside the DNC Convention with thousands of other protesters!
- We are proud to have Illinois members who joined in the Washington DC protest of Netanyahu's speech to Congress!
- We are proud of marching in the Chicago Pride Parade supporting the Palestinian Ceasefire movement. The crowd erupted in cheers when they saw us!
- and we are proud to be building the Illinois Green Party all across the state!
We are currently working on our strategic plan, which will guide our work and set the stage for exciting new initiatives in the coming year. 2025 promises to be a year of growth and innovation with an eye to the 2026 election and beyond!
