As I’m sure many have heard, Democrats have formed a “Blue Dog” caucus comprised of the following 8 Democrat senators: Senator Matt Klein (DFL-Mendota Heights), Senator Nick Frentz (DFL – North Mankato), Senator Judy Seeberger (DFL – Afton), Senator Grant Hauschild (DFL – Hermantown), Senator Ann Rest (DFL – New Hope), Senator Rob Kupec (DFL – Moorhead), Senator Aric Putnam (DFL – St. Cloud), and Senator John Hoffman (DFL – Champlin).

They are doing this so they can pretend they are listening to their districts. I want to remind everyone that every single one of these Senators voted for extreme things such as abortion up until birth, $10 billion in new taxes and fees, marijuana legalization, over 60 new and unfunded mandates on schools, increased spending in every area, and more. They also voted for expanding rights to illegal immigrants, like giving them driver’s licenses, free college, and access to MinnCare. Let’s also not forget about the 1400+ page bill they forced through in the final minutes of session, which Sen. Rest was the author of.

They claim the Senate is too partisan, but at any point in the last 2 years, one of them could have spoken up on a bill to stop it. All it would have taken was one vote to flip the balance. Yet they did nothing. They blindly voted with their caucus – every single time. This is nothing but a political stunt. Their actions speak louder than this meaningless attempt at virtue signaling. Do not let them fool you.
