Happy holidays, friend.

As I spend quality time with my family and loved ones, I can’t help but reflect on how grateful I am for everything you’ve done to keep our “family” together in Illinois’ 17th District.

I am already bracing for next year, and the challenges and opportunities that will come with it in Congress. But I’ll never lose sight of how blessed I am to represent the community where I was born and raised.

The truth is, I couldn’t be here without you. Together, we built a grassroots movement around our shared values, and we elected the first-ever LGBTQ member of Congress from Illinois – then doubled down. We made history, friend, and that’s thanks to you.

No matter how you celebrate, I hope the season is filled with peace, laughter, and rest for you and yours. I’m so thankful to everyone who’s been involved -- in ways large and small -- and I hope you have a restful and enjoyable holiday.
