Dear John, This time of the year is special for so many people. A time to spend with loved ones, a time for warm cozy evenings at home, and a time of cherished traditions and memories. These holidays, my colleagues and I at UNHCR, the refugee agency, would like to wish you a happy and peaceful season, filled with love and warmth. We hope that you are spending this season doing something special, following your favourite traditions, exchanging gifts and and enjoying festive foods. At the same time, we are doing everything we can to make sure that families who have been forced to flee are warm and safe this holiday season. As more people flee their homes in Lebanon and Sudan, we are scaling up our work to reach the most vulnerable with the things they need most. We’ve spent months helping to repair homes in Ukraine and distributing essential items like blankets and heaters to families who have fled across the border to Moldova. Our donors and supporters have been a source of hope for families forced to flee.
