Hey folks,

The day of giving is two days away, and festive cheer is already here! Though, despite our best wishes, it looks like we won’t have a white Christmas this year.

Santa’s still coming though, and we hope all the kids in Iowa got their letters to him on time. We hope even more managed to stay on the nice list, for their sake and their parents’.

Speaking of parents, we here at IDP think it’s important to write a Christmas letter of our own to Saint Nick. One that represents the wishes of all Iowans, for next year and the ones beyond.

We wish…

For affordable healthcare

For funding for public schools

For laws that respect women’s reproductive rights

For taxes that don’t favor big businesses

And for a government that respects the Constitution

We’re pretty sure that Santa is the kind of person who will try to deliver on these wishes, but Santa is definitely going to need our help.

Only together can we save our state and our country.
