John, recent polling from Newsweek shows that most Americans believe that Democrats are better protectors of Social Security, and 50% of respondents are “very concerned” about the future of Social Security retirement benefits.

With less than a month before Donald Trump retakes the White House, we at the DGA need to know where you stand:

John, despite nearly 8 in 10 Americans OPPOSING any cuts to Social Security benefits, Donald Trump and Republicans have made it clear they’re focused on dismantling and possibly eliminating this vital benefit nearly 70 million Americans rely on. Just take a look:

• House Republicans unveiled a plan to gut Social Security, slashing funding by over $1.5 TRILLION and raising the retirement age to 69.
• Trump appointed Russell Vought – a Project 2025 architect – to lead the White House Budget and Dr. Oz to oversee Medicare and Medicaid. Both have supported plans to eliminate Social Security!
• Under Trump’s proposal, the average monthly Social Security check would be reduced by $629 – a devastating 33% cut across the board.
