Recycle your tree with Tree-Cycle.
Tree-Cycle your holiday tree

Recycled holiday trees are turned into mulch, which benefits soil health in parks, local farms, and homes. Trees sent to the landfill emit methane gas, contributing to climate change. Help us keep trees out of the landfill by Tree-Cycling them! There are a few options of keeping your tree out of the landfill.

Seasonal drop off sites

Take it to a Tree-Cycle site! Many organizations host seasonal drop-off sites, fundraisers, and affordable pickup services for tree recycling. Find a local tree recycler and make cleanup easier! [ [link removed] ]

Curbside compost your tree

Another way to keep your holiday tree out of the landfill is by placing it in your curbside food and yard waste cart. Before adding your unflocked tree to your cart:

* Remove all decorations (string lights, tinsel, garland, ornaments)
* Cut your tree into pieces no longer than 4 feet and no larger than 4 inches in diameter.

Learn more about curbside composting and what items are accepted in your food and yard waste cart by visiting our curbside composting guide webpage [ [link removed] ].
